About Us

Turtle Rock is a family-run business that celebrated 20 years (opened on March 24, 2005) of business in our amazing community. 

In 2004, Andy and Angela worked full-time at UW and for the city while raising six children and remodeling houses on the side. A coffee shop was never in their plans until the building went for sale less than two weeks after chatting about "how great of a location that building would be for a coffee shop," totally joking around. Before we purchased the property, it was home to two dentists who built it in 1966. 

Five of our six kids have worked at Turtle Rock at some time. Our daughter, Ashlyn, was our first manager for about nine months, returning ten years ago, and has been our manager since. 

In 2022, we added to our business venture, Black Fox on Welsh, an event space on the edge of town.
