Vedauwoo -

is an enchanted, mysterious, frozen in time natural wonder. The Arapaho word "biito'owu" means earthborn. A sacred area that the SPIRITS dwelled, a place of great vision quest for Arapaho, Cheyenne and Sioux. Indians believed it was a living nature force... like thunder, sun, moon, bear, etc. A jumbled pile of granite boulders with strange and extreme formations. A magical place, 16 miles east of Laramie, WY, in the Medicine Bow Natinoal Forest, with bear, cougar, elk and antelope. Along with seductive spirits on winding trails of aspen, pines and beaver ponds. A paradise for climbers.
